Graphic Designer Position

ActiveEdge is currently looking for a talented and experienced Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors degree or working equivalent and at least 3-5 years of agency experience supporting multiple clients in a fast-paced, high output environment.

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for conceiving and implementing design projects on both a strategic and tactical level. This includes drawing on strong visual composition skills and professional design experience across multiple media platforms, such as print, trade show and event graphics, web design, PowerPoint presentations, video and Flash multimedia presentations, direct mail, email campaigns, corporate logos & identity packages, and more.

The Graphic Designer will also be responsible for taking full responsibility for implementing all design efforts from concept to delivery, including oversight of all production. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work directly with clients, assess their needs, understand their company brand requirements, and design within tight deadlines in a multi-tasking mode.

In Memory of Bevan

ActiveEdge was co-founded in 1997 by Bevan Wang, who served as Creative Design Director until his passing in 2002. Bevan was responsible for developing ActiveEdge as a company by building a production department from the ground up. His guidance and expert knowledge were critical in every project developed at ActiveEdge.

Bevan was known for his excitement and enthusiasm, which were contagious. He had a passion for computers and graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He began his career at Digital Equipment Corporation in Nashua and later co-founded ActiveEdge New Media, where he became principal and creative design director.

Bevan was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1995, but was able to successfully battle the disease. However, in February 2002, doctors informed Bevan that he had Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). Despite his battle with cancer, Bevan remained very positive and always looked on the bright side of things. He will always be remembered for his enthusiasm, positive attitude, and dedication to his work.
